I have a confession. I have spent the past month binge watching Gilmore Girls. Every free second I get I am pretty much watching Gilmore Girls. This has made for an unproductive month. I have now completed all seven seasons (still not sure how I feel about it all) and am ready to attempt to be a little more productive. So today I sit here to tell you January was a pretty good month for beauty products. I have come across some goodies that I am super excited to share with all you other addicts out there.
SmashBox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
I received this in a Birchbox once upon a time. I finally decided to give it a go and I have been really impressed. On days that I use this product my makeup looks smooth and remains flawless. I was very surprised I did not get greasy with this product. When I felt the texture that was my biggest concern. My second concern was that it would cause me to break out. I have been using this daily for a few weeks and so far no break outs!
Maybelline Master Conceal in Light
This has been my go to concealer all month. This is the first drugstore concealer I have loved in a longtime. My skin had a crazy break out around the holidays and despite the fact that the zits are gone it has left some darker pigmentation that is refusing to go away and this product has really been kicking butt at hiding that discoloration alllll day looooong. It is a new product so if you haven’t given it a go I suggest you give it a try.
Loreal Brow Stylist Plumper.
I have been really into bold brows lately. I have been pairing this new Loreal brow product with my Anastasia Brow Wiz (a holy grail product of mine) all month for bold brows. I just run this through my brows after I have filled them in with my Brow Wiz and voila bold brows. My only hang up is that I wish the applicator was a teeny bit smaller, but this one is by far the best brow mascara on the shelves at the drugstore.
Sephora + Pantone Shimming Marsala Cheek Trio
I am in blush heaven. I love this palette. These blushes and highlighter are amazing. All of them are so soft and pigmented. The colors are so amazing. Spanish Villa, the highlighter, is the best powder highlighter I have come across in a long time. Coral Pink is a shimming peachy coral. It goes on so smooth and last all day. I have been loving this a lot this month, but I think I am going to love it even more in the summer. Marsala is a plummy red. It’s pretty much the bomb. I really love pairing it with a brick lip. It has been my go to look all January.
These are just some of the Highlights for the first month of 2015. Lots of new things! Looks like 2015 is going to be a great year for makeup. What were some of your favorites last month?
