Lorac Pro Contour Palette: Review + Swatches

Are you tired of me reviewing contour palettes yet?  Too bad here is another.  Lorac is about to Launch their Lorac Pro Contour Palette.  I was fortunate to get my hands on one before the official release. This palette has three contour shades, three highlight shades, and a synthetic contour brush.  The packaging is very sleek, slim and similar to the Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palettes.    This is a very similar set up to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, the Kat Vond D Shade of light Palette, and The Nyx Highlight and Contour Pro Kit (which I recently reviewed).

The three Highlight shades are Beige Highlight, Yellow Highlight, and Shimmer Highlight. The Shimmer Highlight is slightly larger than the other highlighting shades. I was so excited that this palette had a shimmer highlight. I LOVE a shimmer highlight.  Neither the Anastasia nor Kat Von D have a shimmer highlight which has kept me from purchasing either of these palettes.  The highlight shades are all buttery and smooth.  I did notice that the Beige Highlight and the Yellow Highlight did kick up a lot of product in the pan and looked a little powdery on my dry old lady hands, but when I applied the product to my face the products went on smooth without looking cakey or powdery.  The shimmer is very fine and luminous.  It could give you a subtle glow with a light hand or be built up for an in your face shimmer.

The three contour shades are Light Contour, Deep Contour, and Medium Contour.  The Medium Contour is slightly larger than the other contour shades.  In the photos I saw online I was worried that the only contour shade that would work for me would be the Light contour.  Once I received the palette in person I was pleasantly surprised by how perfect the Medium and the Light Contour worked for my skin.  I don’t see myself using the Deep contour too much unless I really want a dramatic contour.  I have been using the medium contour on my cheek bones and the light around my forehead and jawline.  The contour shades are extremely buttery and smooth.  The contour shades applied look silky and smooth and blend out to perfection.    Of all the bronzer and contour powders I have tried these have been the easiest to work with.

I give this palette the Addie seal of approval.  All of the shades lasted on my skin throughout my workday without budging or shifting.  When I use this palette I feel like a contouring pro! The Lorac Pro Contour Palette Release online on June 14th and in stores on June 28th.

Are you into contouring?  What are your favorite products to contour with?
