I love summer. I love the long days, popsicles, the warmth of the sun on my skin, shorts, flowing dresses, sandals, playing at the park with my daughter, swimming… I LOVE it all. That is why I decided to create a summer bucket list. I want to make sure I fit in EVERYTHING before summer comes to a grinding hault and I have to whip out my sweaters and boots. This list includes things I want to do for myself, with my daughter, with my husband, and my friends. Being a working mom, often times, I forget about having fun and enjoying life (who doesnt really), making a bucket list is the perfect way to make sure I enjoy the things I love most about a season or a certain time a year. It is so easy to get caught up in the things you have to do and completely miss out on doing things you love. Hope you enjoy my bucket list for summer 2015! Continue reading
Colourpop is quickly becoming one of my go-to makeup brands. If you are not familiar with Colourpop, they are an online only makeup brand based out of Los Angeles that JUST had their first birthday. They are one of the fastest up and comers due to the uniqueness and quality of their products. Their eye shadows, lippie stix, and lip pencils are $5 a piece and all blushes, bronzers, and highlighters and $8 apiece (aka dang affordable). I recently went a little crazy and hauled some things from their summer collection, as well as a few new permanent releases. I have tried most of them and I love them. Here are some of the goodies I got.
This past week marked the first 100 degree day of the year…summer is officially here. This means it’s time to get ready for the loooong, hot (way hot in Texas) days to come. Here are some things I do to prep for summer!
Are you tired of me reviewing contour palettes yet? Too bad here is another. Lorac is about to Launch their Lorac Pro Contour Palette. I was fortunate to get my hands on one before the official release. This palette has three contour shades, three highlight shades, and a synthetic contour brush. The packaging is very sleek, slim and similar to the Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palettes. This is a very similar set up to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, the Kat Vond D Shade of light Palette, and The Nyx Highlight and Contour Pro Kit (which I recently reviewed).
Here are a few of my favorite things… from May.
I was so excited to hear that Urban Decay was releasing a blush line. The Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder blush line has twelve shades with some pretty scandalous names (umm quickie?!). I knew I wanted to pick up one of these blushes with a Sephora gift card my husband and daughter got me for Mothers (awwww). Bittersweet is a straight up purple blush. I have nothing like Bittersweet in my collection and I was really drawn to the color so in my collection it went.
Contouring is all the rage right now. Of course this means I have been testing out a few of these contouring products. Most recently I have been adding the NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette.
It seems that the big makeup trend this spring is contouring. Everywhere I look there is a new contouring palette making its way onto the shelves. Of course I had to check out some of these palettes. The one that I have been using the most is the Marc Jacobs Instamarc Light Filtering Contouring Powder.
Thank goodness March is finally here. That means we are one more month closer to warm, gorgeous weather. Anyone else tired of winter? I am OVER it. In February I visited some old friends and tried out some new goodies. Here are some of my makeup highlights!
I love having my nails done. There is nothing like having a well manicured nail to make me feel feminine and put together. However nail polish chips. Like a lot. Sometimes I will do my nails and it is chipping within 24 hours of the initial application. So when I started hearing about Jamberry wraps I was definitely curious. There were all these cute options, that were supposed to be easy to apply and long lasting. It sounded pretty awesome. I had a few friends that were selling Jamberry and I always considered contacting them to give it a try, but it wasn’t until my friend Angie contacted that I finally made the move to give them a try.
