I love summer. I love the long days, popsicles, the warmth of the sun on my skin, shorts, flowing dresses, sandals, playing at the park with my daughter, swimming… I LOVE it all. That is why I decided to create a summer bucket list. I want to make sure I fit in EVERYTHING before summer comes to a grinding hault and I have to whip out my sweaters and boots. This list includes things I want to do for myself, with my daughter, with my husband, and my friends. Being a working mom, often times, I forget about having fun and enjoying life (who doesnt really), making a bucket list is the perfect way to make sure I enjoy the things I love most about a season or a certain time a year. It is so easy to get caught up in the things you have to do and completely miss out on doing things you love. Hope you enjoy my bucket list for summer 2015! Continue reading
This past week marked the first 100 degree day of the year…summer is officially here. This means it’s time to get ready for the loooong, hot (way hot in Texas) days to come. Here are some things I do to prep for summer!
Are you tired of me reviewing contour palettes yet? Too bad here is another. Lorac is about to Launch their Lorac Pro Contour Palette. I was fortunate to get my hands on one before the official release. This palette has three contour shades, three highlight shades, and a synthetic contour brush. The packaging is very sleek, slim and similar to the Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palettes. This is a very similar set up to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, the Kat Vond D Shade of light Palette, and The Nyx Highlight and Contour Pro Kit (which I recently reviewed).
I was so excited to hear that Urban Decay was releasing a blush line. The Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder blush line has twelve shades with some pretty scandalous names (umm quickie?!). I knew I wanted to pick up one of these blushes with a Sephora gift card my husband and daughter got me for Mothers (awwww). Bittersweet is a straight up purple blush. I have nothing like Bittersweet in my collection and I was really drawn to the color so in my collection it went.
Contouring is all the rage right now. Of course this means I have been testing out a few of these contouring products. Most recently I have been adding the NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette.
It seems that the big makeup trend this spring is contouring. Everywhere I look there is a new contouring palette making its way onto the shelves. Of course I had to check out some of these palettes. The one that I have been using the most is the Marc Jacobs Instamarc Light Filtering Contouring Powder.
I was in the drugstore getting something I needed like milk or shampoo when I ran into new Wet N Wild products. I like Wet N Wild they are cheap and, for the most part, pretty decent products. I saw the new Wet N Wild Fergie Velvet Matte Lip Colors and I was pretty excited. Matte Lips are so in and it appeared that they had some very beautiful colors. I picked up four of these guys.
Hellooo my beautiful blushing ladies
Milani not only came out with new Matte Lipsticks (check out my review here), but they also re-released three shades of the previously limited addition Rose Powder Blushes into the permanent collection. Romantic Rose, Tea Rose, and Coral Cove have been released into permanent glory. I purchased all three because I have a makeup hoarding problem… They come in the standard gold Milani packaging with a transparent top. Through the transparent lid you can see that the blushes have been sculpted into the shape of beautiful rose. How cool is that (I’m a sucker for gimmicks).
I really like making favorites posts. It makes me feel like I am getting a little bit of me out into the beauty world. I also love reading about other people’s favorites soo just maybe you guys are interested in some of mine! Today I wanted to talk about some things that I am loving this fall.
Face masks are my favorite part of skin care. Something about having some crazy looking gunk on my face makes me feel girly and glamorous(weird right?). It’s just fun. Store bought face masks can often be expensive so sometimes I like to try and make my own. During the Fall I really enjoy this DIY pumpkin face mask.
