Happy Fourth of July!!! This has been a wonderful weekend so far. We decided to stay around town instead of attempting a quick trip (which can be stressful especially with a toddler). I am SO glad we did. Yesterday was a fabulous day. My hubby, daughter and I spent the morning messing around the house and playing outside. Later we met up with family to swim. I LOVE swimming. I’m pretty sure I was a mermaid in another life. This morning we are participating in some local Independence Day fun that’s going on at the park just across my house. I chose this classic ensemble for a BBQ with some friends and family later tonight. It’s perfect for getting into the spirit of the holiday, but with a touch of class! To me everything about this outfit screams America. When I am wearing it I just want to be holding a hot apple pie!
This past week marked the first 100 degree day of the year…summer is officially here. This means it’s time to get ready for the loooong, hot (way hot in Texas) days to come. Here are some things I do to prep for summer!
Hello lovely. We had a beautiful weekend a few weekends ago so I dragged the kiddo outside and finally took some time re-purpose a frame I found at Kirklands for about $7. I have had this picture frame for a while now and was waiting for a good weekend to work on it. I love trying to find things that I can repurpose for a good price. I wanted some chunky frames for my bedroom, but they can be really expensive. Almost nothing in my house is new. I have a hard time paying big chunks of money for home décor so I am always looking for a deal.
There is a ton of hype surrounding the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a sample from Ulta last week. The Mascara is due to launch this Friday. I went to Ulta today and the place was plastered in Benefit Roller Lash Posters. Benefit is promoting the crap out of this Mascara so I have got me some high expectations people.
Hello my beautiful friends! My name is Addie and I am an eye shadow palette addict. Lately I have been trying to cut down on my beauty purchases due to things costing money and all, but I could NOT pass up on the Tarte Tartelette Eye Shadow palette. When I saw this beautiful bugger in person I knew it had to be mine. I immediately snatched it up to add to my embarrassingly large eye shadow palette collection.
I wasn’t initially sure if I was going to pick up the “Everything Nice” palette when it first came out. Of course I WANTED to get it, but there are so many good holiday palettes out this year I was trying to be good and not indulge in ALL of them. I obviously have failed and picked up way too many holiday palettes and I have no regrets.
It’s Mid-October and the makeup world is in a complete frenzy over the 2014 holiday palettes. I of course being the total makeup junkie that I am bought into the frenzy. I would love to buy allllll the holiday palettes, sadly I am not rich and I guess I don’t have enough followers for the companies to give them to me (ahh to be that lucky). I did pick-up the Tarte Pin Up Amazonian Clay Blush 12 Hour Blush Palette. This palette is limited edition for the holiday season and a Sephora exclusive. The Tarte Pin Up Blush Palette has 5 blushes at .158 oz and costs $42. That is a deal considering that a full size Tarte blush is .2 oz and costs $26.
I am a foundation junkie. It is the one product that I promise I will never be satisfied. I will always be looking for my next foundation fix. That current fix is the Dior Star Foundation. The Dior Star Foundation makes the following claim:
Tis’ officially fall! With fall weather slowly making its appearance (It’s been pretty warm around my neck of the woods) I wanted to share with you some of my favorite fall lipsticks. I originally was going to pick out my top 5 fall lipsticks, but when I started going through my collection I pulled out about 14 lipsticks and knew there was no way I would get it down to five. I got as close as I could. Here are my top 8 lipsticks for fall. Continue reading
I have never really been a fan of cream blushes. I liked the idea of a cream blush, but they never seem to work for me. Most of the cream blushes I have tried have done one of two things. First they have applied chalky and get patchy after a short amount of time. The second problem I have with cream blushes is that they turn me into a greasy monkey and I don’t even have oily skin. So when I saw the Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm I thought maybe these are the ones. Especially after the Cheek Pop Blushes, which were so wonderful, I had extremely high hopes for these cream blushes.
