Are you tired of me reviewing contour palettes yet? Too bad here is another. Lorac is about to Launch their Lorac Pro Contour Palette. I was fortunate to get my hands on one before the official release. This palette has three contour shades, three highlight shades, and a synthetic contour brush. The packaging is very sleek, slim and similar to the Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palettes. This is a very similar set up to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, the Kat Vond D Shade of light Palette, and The Nyx Highlight and Contour Pro Kit (which I recently reviewed).
Contouring is all the rage right now. Of course this means I have been testing out a few of these contouring products. Most recently I have been adding the NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette.
It seems that the big makeup trend this spring is contouring. Everywhere I look there is a new contouring palette making its way onto the shelves. Of course I had to check out some of these palettes. The one that I have been using the most is the Marc Jacobs Instamarc Light Filtering Contouring Powder.
Hellooo my beautiful blushing ladies
Milani not only came out with new Matte Lipsticks (check out my review here), but they also re-released three shades of the previously limited addition Rose Powder Blushes into the permanent collection. Romantic Rose, Tea Rose, and Coral Cove have been released into permanent glory. I purchased all three because I have a makeup hoarding problem… They come in the standard gold Milani packaging with a transparent top. Through the transparent lid you can see that the blushes have been sculpted into the shape of beautiful rose. How cool is that (I’m a sucker for gimmicks).
One of the many makeup items on my Christmas wish list was the Naked On the Run Palette. My wonderful husband, who does not understand why makeup is so costly, made the big splurge and wrapped up this little ditty for a pleasant Christmas surprise. His reasoning for purchasing the Naked on the Run Palette over my other makeup desires was because “it seemed like the most bang for my buck”. This is exactly why I wanted this palette. It has everything you need. Mascara, eyeliner, lip gloss, six eye shadows, a blush, and a bronzer are snug as a bug inside the tortoise packaging. Continue reading
At any given time I can have 3 to 5 mascaras open that I am using. I try not to do this I try to just have a few open at a time, but I have a problem and often get excited about a new mascara and can’t wait until one has dried up or I have used it up (because that happens so often) to open a new one. Today I want to chit chat about the Mascaras I currently have open a share a mini review about each one. Continue reading
I have never really been a fan of cream blushes. I liked the idea of a cream blush, but they never seem to work for me. Most of the cream blushes I have tried have done one of two things. First they have applied chalky and get patchy after a short amount of time. The second problem I have with cream blushes is that they turn me into a greasy monkey and I don’t even have oily skin. So when I saw the Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm I thought maybe these are the ones. Especially after the Cheek Pop Blushes, which were so wonderful, I had extremely high hopes for these cream blushes.
I was just browsing around Ulta one day when I came across the Tarte Rainforest after Dark palette. The palette instantly grabbed my attention. First off the plumy, gold, and deep mocha packaging is beautiful. Yes there is a snake on the packaging, but it is a very chic snake that’s gold with a freakin purple jewel on his head. So this very chic snake lured me over and convinced me I needed to take a gander of what was inside and when I popped it what I saw on the inside was even more beautiful then what was on the outside.
Let’s start with the mirror inside the compact shall we. Continue reading
