You turned two months old this past week. Life with you has settled down and the Lee family has our new normal. Every day is a blessing me and it amazes me and breaks my heart at the same time at how quickly you are growing up. You are smiling, cooing, and sometimes even chuckling. You are no longer a little lump of cuteness, but a baby boy that is starting to interact with your surroundings.
You are a big boy. At your two month appointment the doctor exclaimed “oh Lord” when he read your height and weight stats. Then very quickly apologized for the slip. You weighed 14 lbs 10 ounces and were almost 25 inches tall. That puts you in the 95th percentile for height and weight and the size of an average 4 month old.
You still love looking out the window, your pretty down with your swing, you LOVE smiling at the toys on your bouncer, you enjoy being worn by mama in your baby K’tan (you would sleep in their forever), you are a fan of baths, and overall your pretty good with anything. You don’t like your feet touched much and you don’t love you car seat. You don’t hate your car seat, but you don’t really sleep in it unless we are moving and if you are awake in it you don’t last long before you want out.
I heard your cry a little more this month, but only a handful of times. Almost every single one of them were on days where you were running errands with me all day and you were just done. But for a two month old you do great keeping up with your mama on busy days.
You and your sister are still getting along great. For the most part she goes on with her busy toddler life, but occasionally makes a pit stop to give you a hug, put in a paci, or share a stuffed animal. She also loves treating you like her little baby doll (under mommas supervision). She tries to swaddle you, helps with diapers (shes oddly obsessed with your poop), hold you, and cuddle you.
Your eating and sleeping great. When you get a bottle you eat almost four ounces. No wonder you are such a big guy. You eat about every three hours during the day with lots of sleep in between and then usually give me a six to eight hour stretch at night.
We had lots of adventures this month. We went to the park, chick fil a (or as aria calls it “chicken fil a”), science spectrum, out to eat, the duck pond, the splash pad, dance classes and this month we had our first big family vacation with you. You travel great! You just slept the whole car ride. We went to San Antonio and then down to Hunt Texas to go hang out by the river with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Sarianna. It was so beautiful. You didn’t get to go swimming yet, but you got loved on by your grandma and grandpa and you got to sit by the river and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
We are so blessed that God has given us this little family. Every day is “the best day ever”.
